Shape Unit’s long-term technical direction and lead cross-engineering initiatives across reliability, performance, architecture, security, and other platform-wide challenges. Work hands-on with teams to improve and scale Unit’s distributed financial infrastructure platform.

- Contribute hands-on to critical technical investigations and infrastructure initiatives.
- Improve system reliability, performance, cost effectiveness, developer experience, security, and operational health.
- Identify long-term technical opportunities and drive platform improvements.
- Design and implement solutions for challenges at the core of Unit’s platform.
- Support the continued evolution of engineering practices.
דרישות
- 10+ years of experience designing, building, deploying, and operating large-scale distributed systems in a microservices environment.
- Strong understanding of production systems, including reliability, scalability, performance, observability, cost efficiency, and security.
- Strong systems-thinking skills and sound engineering judgment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across teams and disciplines.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure.
יתרון
- Previous experience as a Principal Engineer at a large-scale SaaS company.
- Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Scala and functional programming ecosystems such as ZIO, Cats, or Scalaz.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, Event Sourcing, CQRS, DDD, or workflow orchestration frameworks such as Temporal, Cadence, or AWS Step Functions.
