Rakuten Viber is seeking a General Counsel to lead its global legal, regulatory, privacy, compliance and corporate governance work. The role reports to the CEO, advises senior leadership and the Board, and leads a global legal team.

  • Lead the global legal team and set its priorities, structure and operating model.
  • Oversee significant legal matters, complex negotiations and strategic agreements.
  • Advise Product, Engineering and Technology teams on products, business models and emerging technologies.
  • Lead the global privacy, regulatory and compliance agenda.
  • Advise senior leadership and the Board on governance, legal and regulatory risk, and significant incidents.
  • Partner with commercial teams to support revenue growth and strategic opportunities.

דרישות

  • 12+ years of legal experience, including significant in-house experience in a global technology, internet, telecommunications, fintech or consumer digital business.
  • Licensed or qualified lawyer in a relevant jurisdiction.
  • Experience advising senior executives and boards on complex legal, regulatory and business matters.
  • Experience leading legal teams across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C environments.
