NPI / Product Operations Engineer

Own the operational lifecycle of Kela’s products, from engineering-to-production transition through production ramp-up and field updates. Work with R&D and Supply Chain to establish production processes, maintain accurate product data, and build PLM infrastructure.

  • Lead NPI from design to rate production, including pilot builds and first-article inspection.
  • Own production BOMs, work instructions, assembly and test flows, and build documentation.
  • Manage configuration control, including ECO / MCO processes, serial-level traceability, and controlled field updates.
  • Establish PLM processes and infrastructure, including system selection and rollout.
  • Drive DFM / DFA / DFP feedback into mechanical, electrical, and harness designs.
  • Qualify and industrialize suppliers and subcontractors, and define and validate acceptance testing.

דרישות

  • B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 5+ years in NPI, Product Operations, or manufacturing engineering of complex electro-mechanical systems, including ownership of a prototype-to-rate-production cycle.
  • Experience establishing a production line and qualifying build-to-print subcontractors in Israel.
  • Proven DFM / DFA experience, configuration-management fundamentals, and hands-on experience with first-article inspection, process validation, and acceptance test definition.

יתרון

  • NPI or production experience in defense, aerospace, or UAV programs, including MIL-STD 810 / 461 qualification.
  • Experience with electro-optical assemblies, including alignment and calibration.
  • Experience delivering hardware alongside qualification and running retrofit / update campaigns.
  • Familiarity with MoD program reviews and hands-on implementation of PLM, ERP, or MRP systems.

  • 5+ years of relevant NPI, Product Operations, or manufacturing engineering experience
  • B.Sc. in a listed engineering discipline or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience establishing a production line and qualifying build-to-print subcontractors in Israel
  • Personally owned at least one complex electro-mechanical system from prototype to rate production
