Build the real-time layer that powers Riverside recordings, including full-stack features and services for live calls. Help maintain reliable production systems and develop expertise in real-time audio and video communications.

  • Build and own full-stack live call features using Node.js and TypeScript on server and client.
  • Work on services for real-time sessions, including signaling, connectivity and media routing.
  • Monitor production systems, improve resilience and alerting, and respond to issues.
  • Learn the WebRTC stack and apply real-time media constraints to product development.
  • Use AI tools to design, build and debug.
  • Work with native C/C++ code where performance matters.

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with strong full-stack skills in Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Experience building and running production systems.
  • Solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/UDP, DNS, TLS and certificates.
  • Experience working in a remote team.

  • Experience with real-time or high-scale production systems.
  • Background in networking or network security products, WebRTC, or C/C++.
