As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll build and own backend features and financial infrastructure for Unit’s Banking, Payments, and Cards products. You’ll work with product managers, designers, and engineers to take features from design through deployment.

  • Own features from product design and API contracts through implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Work with product and design to define requirements and make tradeoffs.
  • Build backend services for Banking, Payments, and Cards products.
  • Develop APIs and backend logic focused on clarity, correctness, and developer experience.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering standards.

דרישות

  • 5+ years of backend development experience.
  • Experience across backend design, implementation, testing, deployment, and on-call ownership.
  • Experience building and maintaining reliable systems in cloud environments.
  • Understanding of distributed systems concepts, including consistency, availability, failure modes, and observability.
  • Experience with CI/CD and modern deployment practices.

  • Fintech, payments, or developer-platform experience.
  • Production experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Scala, ZIO, Cats, or functional programming.
  • Familiarity with DDD, Event Sourcing, or CQRS.
